Briquetting has a great tradition, especially with solid furniture manufacturers, who by the nature of their production have suitable waste for briquetting and can thus recover it in the form of briquettes, reduce dust on the workshop and simplify the handling of bulk waste.
However, briquetting also has applications in other industries such as engineering, where machining chips can be briquetted, and by compressing them into briquettes, the material is also freed from emulsions and oils and better prepared for reuse.
The BRK series briquetting presses are suitable for single or multi-shift operation. The machine is equipped with a bottom level sensor that automatically starts the production of 65 mm diameter briquettes when the required amount of material is accumulated in the hopper. The milling cutter (rotor) and dosing screw are driven by their own electric motors with gearbox. The control unit evaluates the structure of the material and selects the dosing of the material into the press chamber so that the briquetting press produces the optimum length of briquettes.
The briquetting press can be conveniently connected to a filter unit (FBR filter unit) or a cyclone unit (EBS System) to create a briquetting extraction system that greatly facilitates waste handling and reduces dust in the workplace. The briquetting press can also be placed under the central extraction unit.
The briquette press can be equipped with a wide range of accessories such as a vibration damper for less compressible materials, an oil cooler for multi-shift operation, a minimum and maximum material level sensor for automated briquetting, a design for outdoor use and more.
Carpentry waste: – sawdust, shavings, dust
Agricultural waste: – rapeseed straw, cereal straw, flax and hemp husk, hay, grass seed
Other waste: – shredded paper, polyurethane, peat, araldite (artificial wood) and many others
For materials other than pure solid wood, we recommend a test on a test briquetting machine.
The briquetting presses we sell have advantages over the competition:
The basic conditions of compressibility in the briquetting machine are humidity max. 12 – 15% and fraction max. 15 mm in one direction, for straw, lumber up to 20 mm, paper up to 20 mm. Failure to meet the conditions results in e.g. reduced briquetting press performance, poor quality briquettes (or briquettes are not formed), blockage of the dosing screw or one of the hydraulic cylinders or breaker failures.
